What is Matzahmate?
Matzahmate is an online dating service for Conservative Jewish Singles. Membership includes a member profile, blog and access to our membership directory, notifications and invitations to local events, online chats and the advice of a Conservative Rabbi and the MatzahLady, our resident relationship maven.And more! How does Matzahmate work?
First, register. . It’s easy and it only takes a moment to get started! Browse the site, check out our members’ profiles and blogs. Feel free to contact us .for more information.

When do I have access?
After your payment you will have full access to the website and all all the features included in your level of subscription as soon as your profile has been reviewed and approved. Review will be completed within 24 hours. If there is material in your profile that violates our terms of service you will be asked to remove it before your account is approved.

Do you have any tips for filling out my profile and blog?
Be yourself.
Don’t over-exaggerate your accomplishments or looks, but don’t be embarrassed to put yourself out there and show the Jewish world what a great catch you are! Talk about your background, goals and ambitions. Be truthful in sharing your age, occupation and intentions. Update your blog to share news of events and happenings in your life at work, home and in the community. Share photos of recent trips and excursions. Open up and share your life. Chances are someone out there is waiting to meet you!

Have realistic expectations.
Don’t offer a long spiel listing your dating standards. Consider the traits most important to you in a significant other, but be flexible. Sometimes you don’t know what you’re looking for until you find it.

Post recent photos.
It goes without saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. Post accurate photos of you so that your new Jewish friends and potential dates get an accurate sense of what you truly look like. We recommend you post five recent photos where we can see you, so that we know more about your lifestyle.

Be nice and have fun!
As always, remember to maintain a sense of privacy and don’t give any personal contact information or intimate details on your profile or blog. Similarly, please don’t give out any personal or intimate information about others, particularly fellow Matzahmate members, on your blog. There will be opportunities for you to contact fellow members privately and exchange contact information.

Lastly, update your blog frequently.

This will keep other Matzahmate members posted on what’s new with you! Be sure to post your thoughts and experiences about any Matzahmate singles events that you attend!

How do I find out about Matzahmate local events?
Click here for a listing of upcoming events for Joyous Jewish Singles. [link to events] Events will include New Years, Passover and a Summertime Social. Some events may require a registration fee.

I’m Jewish, but I’m not all that observant. Can I still join Matzahmate?
If you identify yourself as Jewish, we are happy to have you join us. We’re not counting how many times you’ve davened in the last year (although we hope that by joining us for some local singles and cultural events, you might be tempted!). All Jewish singles are welcome to join Matzahmate!

I’m Jewish, but I’m not a Conservative Jew. Is Matzahmate right for me?
Absolutely! We welcome Jews of all sects to join us.

I’m married. Can I join Matzahmate before I get a divorce?
Oy vey, don’t be a zhlub.Wait until you’re on the market before pursuing any relationships. Matzahmate will be here to help you get connected when the time is right! We’re ready when you are!

Is the Matzahlady a Matchmaker?
Matzahmate is the brain child of the Matzahlady, our resident relationship maven. While she is a social worker, she is not a formal shadken. She will offer you advice in her Matzahlady Musings column, but she won’t tell you whom to date. Feel free to contact the Matzahlady with any questions about Matzahmate services or events
